In Michelle’s lessons, there is a constant emphasis on musicality. Students learn right away that it isn’t enough to play the right pitch and the right rhythm. She demonstrates ways to put feeling into the interpretation of a piece.
My son and I both started studying piano at the same time. He has grasped a lot of it intuitively and I have had some unlearning to do.
